More than a decade ago FeedMix was established after realising there was gap in the market for Premixes available to farmers. The founders John Tayler, whose expertise and perseverance to achieve top quality feeds through the creation of specialised premixes which placed the product amongst the leading stock feeds. Coupled with the expansion drive of Alexander Kirkman whose goals to increase productivity and diversity of product availability through the innovative creation of modern plant engineering and the import of state-of-the-art machinery. Both with farming the founders John Tayler and Alexander Kirkman have farming backgrounds and understand the farming seasons, and the ups and downs in the farming sector.

FeedMix (Pvt) Ltd’s main business activity at inception was producing premixes and feed for poultry (Broilers & Layer), pigs, horses, and dog food. At this stage FeedMix was only catering for the home mixers and small to medium scale farmers. The company has made significant growth over the past decade and now produces 5,000 tonnes on average/month up from 800 tonnes per month in its inception. FeedMix is a reputable manufacturer of consistent quality products for non-ruminants, ruminants and special diets. FeedMix also offers Training and Technical Field Support be it normal or customized to our customers.

During the Covid-19 Pandemic FeedMix has come together with the Lynde Frances Trust to provide mealie meal, other basic food, and support to the families in need.
Dreams HIV/AIDS Youth Network is one of the first beneficiaries which benefitted from this commitment made by FeedMix (Pvt) Ltd. Dreams is a support unit for children who have been born with HIV/AIDS and helps them through counselling and support. They also support the widows and elderly who are living with the disease and have no source of income. Dreams help the youth in developing their skills and talents so that they use these skills for entrepreneurship and income-generating project to help them to survive in society. Most of these children are child-headed families and some are in denial as they only find out that they are born HIV positive.
